Nah it's just a basic festival. It's almost exactly the same people and shit as all the rest. The only horrific thing about it is the "back story" they give it. You know how other festivals have a theme that everyone ignores. Boomtown updates this fucking awful cod sci-fi theme. It's cringemakingly bad.

Had friends there for the last few weeks working on the set up.
Got other friends there running one of the stages, Hanger xxx, all punk and a bit of ska.

Have you been?
I haven't but I've been to countless raves and free parties etc in that part of the country and don't think I've ever seen anyone in a jester hat or loads of glitter trying to be wacky.

it's a complete cuntfest but if you like over sized hats glitter then enjoy. Drugs should block most of that out though so make sure you take plenty of drugs.

You couldn't more more wrong hani. Maybe the people there are like that in their day to day life but for a few days no one gives a fuck about looking cool its just about having a laugh. As I said there's not a single poser there.
Bloke i know was just walking round in his pants all day on Saturday, not to look edgy but because he was totally off his nut and wanted to walk round in his pants, no one batted an eyelid.
People dress up cos it's funny not to look cool, if you think otherwise you don't really get it

There will be loads of wankers in jester hats and glitter, with those tramp looking dreadlocks that white people get. for the weekend... 'omg look at me in my jester hat I'm so out there!' Like all these festivals once they get attention they quickly become infested with cunts and selfie sticks being all bohemian and thinking they are so unique little snowflakes when every other cunt looks just like them.

Some bits of the westcountry are about as close to "proper" bohemian crusty living as you can get, I'd guess this event would be pretty far removed from the festival poseur types.
